Class Description: Ready to take the next step in your knitting? Knitwear designers use gauge and body measurements to create the perfect fit in a sweater (or any other knitted piece), and you can too. Learn the simple formulas that will let you design your own garments or adjust existing ones for different gauges and yarn.
Skill Level: ADVANCED-BEGINNER KNITTING SKILLS REQUIRED.

Ann Budd learned to knit while attending elementary school in Switzerland in 1968. She has been associated with Interweave Press since 1989 and has worked on the editorial staff of Handwoven magazine as well as Interweave Knits and Knitscene, and more recently as a book editor. In addition to editing many of Interweave’s knitting titles, Ann is the author of Sock Knitting Master Class (2011), Getting Started Knitting Socks (2007), The Knitter’s Handy Book of Patterns (2002), The Knitter’s Handy Book of Sweater Patterns (2004), The Knitter’s Handy Guide to Yarn Requirements (2004), The Crocheter’s Handy Guide to Yarn Requirements (2005), Simple Style (2009), Interweave Presents Knitted Gifts (2009), and Knitting Green (2010), and co-author of Wrap Style (2005), Bag Style (2007), Lace Style (2007), and Color Style (2008).
