In this popular 3-hour class, Colorado Children’s Book author Joanna Johnson will teach you a very easy colorwork pattern from her picture book, Freddie’s Blanket. If you know how to cast on, knit, and purl, you can learn this simple super fun technique! Once you have taken this class, you will understand bubble stitch and brick stitch – a whole world of fun mosaic knitting which only uses one color of yarn per row. You will be making one of three sizes of Freddie’s Blanket from the book.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner

Maximum Class Size: 12

Supplies to Bring: 

1-2 skeins each of 3 colors Brown Sheep Serendipity Tweed yarn and size US 5 and size US 7 circular or straight knitting needles.

Joanna Johnson is the author of knitting storybooks Phoebe’s Sweater, Freddie’s Blanket, Phoebe’s Birthday, and Henry’s Hat, along with knitting books Green Gables Knits and Sherlock Knits.
