Knit a narrow scarf full of luscious lace textures! We’ll cover the concept of lace and how to get from here to there with various placements of increases and decreases. We’ll learn how to read a chart for lace, decode a chart key, combine reading text with the chart, checking gauge and counting stitches, reading the work and comparing to the chart, working multiple repeats in a single row, checking for mistakes and options for fixing them. Working with sport weight yarn will allow for easy handling and immediately seen results.

 

Skill Level: Basic

Knitting skills: CO, knit, purl, increases, decreases, BO

Maximum Class Size: 12

Class Fee: $48

Includes handouts and pattern

Supplies to bring:

3 skeins of Brown Sheep Naturespun sport weight yarn, or 400-500 yards other sport weight wool or wool blend, size 6 needle, or range of sizes, basic knitting notions kit that includes markers.
