Learn how to knit the building blocks of the knitting world. The mitered square has long been a staple in knitting design and now it will be a staple in your knitter’s toolbox. These magical mitered squares are knit in a variety of stitches. In class learn how to make one in garter, a mix of garter and Stockinette, plain Stockinette and a variety of center decreases that can be used to create the dividing line down the center. Also, these squares are join as you go making it the perfect traveling project for any knitter.


Skill Level: Advanced Beginner.

Must have a strong understanding of basic knitting skills.

Maximum Class Size: 20

Supplies to Bring:

Yarn: Worsted Weight, at least 150 yards each of 2 or more colors (1 light and 1 dark)

Needles: US #8 (5mm) needles 24-inch circular

Stitch markers (both solid and removable), Tapestry needle, colored pencils

Homework to complete BEFORE class: none
