Vendor Application

Greetings fellow fiber enthusiasts!

We now have three fiber fairs behind us and are in the process of planning the 4th!  Some pretty big decisions were made by the board this year and we couldn’t be more excited! The fair will run for TWO days in 2012.  The dates and hours are:

Friday, September 14th 1:00-7:00 pm
Saturday, September 15th 10:00am-5:00pm

AND we have a new venue!

Monument Mall
2302 Frontage Road
Scottsbluff, NE  69361

Booth space is limited and jury selection will be used to determine the final mix of vendors.  The application is on the left.

Deadline for Application: July 1, 2012
Accepted applicants will be notified by July 10, 2012

If selected, vendor packets will be sent out with detailed information and guidelines.  We request that each selected vendor provide one $25.00 item for a silent auction that raises money for the fair.

Sponsors Brown Sheep CompanyBarn Anew Bed and Breakfast, and The Art of Yarn are once again teaming up to host a celebration of all things fiber.

We will offer a fully interactive experience with educational demonstrations such as knitting, spinning, crocheting, weaving, needle felting, rug hooking, quilting, hands-on projects for children and adults, locally and regionally-produced goods for sale, art work, fiber art supplies, informational and instructional resources, and animals on display that produce the natural fibers we love to work with.

Our mission is:

  • To inspire people to discover and cultivate their talents for creativity with fiber
  • To explore the history and importance of fiber and textile arts in our communities and our lives
  • To foster inter-generational connections
  • To  share new techniques and project ideas
  • To provide opportunities for shopping for hand-made, unique gifts and collectibles
  • To offer fun, excitement, education, and relaxation for fiber enthusiasts and the general public

Classes will be offered both Friday, September 14th and Saturday, September 15th from 8:30-4:30 at the Harms Advanced Technology Center.  We are working now on building a schedule of fun workshops offered by talented instructors who are eager to share their knowledge and skills.  Class registration will be open March 19th.

We will be advertising in a 4-5 state region as well as nationally.

In addition to all of the other activities and events the day of the fair, tours of Brown Sheep Company will be available at scheduled times, as well as a sheep-wagon presentations at the beautiful and scenic Barn Anew Bed and Breakfast.  A silent auction and mall food vendors will make this fair a full day of activity for men, women, and children of all ages.

If you know of anyone else interested in applying, please direct them to this page so they may read the guidelines and print an application.

We are excited to offer this opportunity and look forward to receiving your application.  If you have questions, feel free to contact us at 308-635-2198.
